I was a new mom after a decade and I felt like I was a new mom for the first time! I was unsuccessful breastfeeding my previous two children and was beginning to get discouraged with my new baby, I sought help and was brought to the lactation station website that offered a free moms circle and thought I would begin there! My first day all of my questions and concerns were answered and I felt so much more reassured that what I was experiencing was normal and that we would in fact be okay! I gained all the confidence I needed to continue my breastfeeding journey! Sarah was so welcoming and made us so comfortable! She gave us advice and tips and tricks that have worked like a charm! I look forward to returning each week and still gain more and more knowledge every time! I love talking with the other mothers as well and knowing that we are not alone in the ups and downs of motherhood! We have met babies of all ages and even expecting mothers preparing for their new little ones to arrive! Sarah’s role as a lactation consultant in my transition to motherhood has been indispensable! My son has a tongue and lip tie that she came to examine, and through the whole process of learning to breastfeed my baby, she has taught me so much. Before I started having sessions, I was concerned about my milk supply. Mrs, Sarah has helped me try to get a better supply & has given me the tools to do that. She has been nice and very understanding. Any time I text her, I always get a fast and helpful response. She also does an amazing job with my newborn at every session. I came to Sarah, because I was in need of an IBCLC and I am glad that I did. My baby is 4 months old and has had blood in her stool. I've gone on an elimination diet for months now with no results and my baby has gained weight slowly. The pediatrician sent me to a GI doctor who told me to quit breastfeeding and switch to formula. This made my heart sink and I felt panicked. After meeting with Sarah for the first time, I felt more at ease and she really made me comfortable and she seems very educated on breastfeeding. She ensured me that my baby's weight was okay, but still came up with a plan to help my baby gain weight and suggested things the pediatrician or other lactation consultants never suggested. She even fit me in her schedule a few times to test my baby's stool. While we are still trying to figure out exactly what my baby is allergic to, I feel more confident now that I can continue to make breastfeeding work. If I did decide to go to formula, I know Sarah would still give me support in that decision. If I didn't reach out to an IBCLC, I probably would have given up on breastfeeding by now. Although she does in home visits, I've always met her in her office, which is nice and quiet and comfortable and conveniently located in Summerville, as I live in Ridgeville.

Sarah was an absolute lifesaver to my baby's feeding journey. She reached out so quickly and listened to everything I needed to get off my chest about my struggles with breastfeeding (both nursing and pumping). She gave me recommendations over the phone and came out to do a home visit the following day. Sarah was so kind and thorough in her evaluation and made me feel supported in my decisions to experiment with a combo feeding of both nursing and bottle feeding my expressed milk. She has been readily available to touch base with when I need extra support or have questions. Without her intervention, I am not sure where we would be at with breastfeeding.

I really can’t thank her enough for how incredibly supportive she was for me. She has a way of sharing her strength with the women she’s working with and she truly cares about her clients. Sarah is absolutely amazing. Without her and her knowledge on breastfeeding I would not have been able to breastfeed my daughter. The hospital did not have any lactation specialists the day I delivered and the hospital was pushing me to pump and not breastfeed. Sarah came that same day and walked me through everything. My daughter was able to latch and has been doing great ever since. The best thing is Sarah is available for me anytime to ask questions. I highly recommend her for any of your needs

Sarah is absolutely amazing. She helped me through a very bumpy breast feeding journey, full of tongue/lip ties, a lazy feeder and an infant who didn’t want to gain weight. She helped me with trying everything to make my journey successful and even when I decided to stop nursing she still made me feel like everything was going to be ok. She was truly such a positive part of my early journey into mamahood and I can’t thank her or recommend her enough!

I wish the Lactation Station was around when I had my three babies! I was however, lucky enough to have Sarah as a lactation consultant after all 3 births and she helped me have successful experiences every time! I went on to breastfeed each child for 2+ years!
